Hey. I’m Maxine. This is my personal blog all about my home’s renovations as well as ideas and makeover projects. It’s a mega-mix of shopping, inspiration and lots lovely bits and bobs that I’m slowly filling my home with.

My full time job is as an Interior Stylist, and I’ve been using my insider know-how to vamp my home on a small budget.  In 2015 I bought my first house in Brighton. It was a total wreak. Everything needed replacing. And I had no money. I couldn’t find anywhere on-line that covered the type of makeovers I wanted for my home. Cheap, chic and very stylish – that’s why I started WeLoveHome.

I hope that by sharing my own projects, I can show you how you can style your space with a little bit of cash, and tons of style. My popular posts are about my mini home makeovers and how I got my dream job as an interior stylist.

I’ve been shortlisted for 6 blogging awards which is so exciting. And one an award for my DIY videos.

The best bit about blogging is chatting to people who take time out to read my words. That’s people like you. My favourite way of sharing my ideas is Facebook. If you want to talk to me directly, try Twitter. I’m getting so much better at Instagram which is where I share behind the scenes snaps. And if you want to see me in action, you can watch my home tours videos on Youtube.

  • Trevor Bradford - Hi Maxine,
Best of luck with your project and thanks for including us in your post on brilliant whites, we are noticing a swing back to paler shades from stronger colours of recent seasons.

We will be watching your progress with keen interest!

  • Teresa Colbeck - Maxine,

I love your new home and the style of it. You have done so much already, in such a small space of time.

I am having my kitchen redesigned, it is completely new…but still not finished. Do you have any advice on how to keep things moving when builders are so slow?

    • WeLoveHomeBlog - Hey Teresa, Thank you so much for your kind words. I’m in the middle of having my kitchen redesigned so I fee you pain when builders slow things down. I’m going to do a blog post in reply as I think it is something lots of us would want to know. Maxine x6th April 2015 – 9:14 amReplyCancel

  • Phil Gregory - Hi Maxine.

I found your website when looking for Home Style bloggers and loved it. I wondered if you’d be interested in writing about some products that our client Alfresia sells.

If you would be interested, please drop me an email and we can chat more. I’m keen to talk to you.18th August 2015 – 4:42 pmReplyCancel

  • Simonne Vickers - Hello,

    I hope you are well.

I am contacting from MatalanDirect, com, the home furnishings and improvements brand.

I wanted to enquire as to whether you take bespoke written content on your website, and if so, how we would go about this? We have a team of experienced content writers who specialise in interior trend led content. Please see here for examples of their work.

I look forward to hearing back from you.

    Many thanks,
